Your Path to Effortless, Clear Vision

The first step in any laser eye surgery procedure is an in-depth eye exam. This primary consultation (examination for short-sightedness/myopia) reveals if the laser procedure is suited for your vision needs. Because all eyes are unique, our evaluations are comprehensive and thorough. The first appointment takes about an hour and the findings of this examination can help you achieve clear vision for a lifetime.

We recommend coming to the visit with a full stomach, so you would feel comfortable during the examination. During the appointment, an optometrist will carry out various tests and measurements to learn important information about Your eyes. It is important not to use contact lenses 24 hours prior to your consultation.

  • The strength of your current glasses is measured (lensometry);
  • Corneal parameters are measured (topography/ Scheimpflug camera);
  • Eye lens examination and photography are performed (Scheimpflug camera);
  • The exact refraction and visual acuity of your eyes are measured both with and without correction (refractometry);
  • Eye pressure is measured (tonometry);
  • Contrast and color vision tests are conducted;
  • Retinal and optic nerve examinations are performed using an optical coherence tomography (OCT);
  • Visual field tests if necessary
  • Visual function tests are performed;
  • Fundus photos are taken if necessary.

After Your Consultation, the optometrist will

  • Talk through if vision correction procedure may be most suitable for your eyes;
  • Make sure that You understand the procedure and the necessary preparations for surgery.

If the exam shows that laser surgery is suitable for Your eyes, we will find You a suitable procedure date.

Flow 2.0 eye exam takes about 1 hour. We ask You to arrive to the clinic 10 minutes before your visit. Vision exams are conducted at the KSA Vision Clinic locations in Tallinn and Tartu.
