With more than 35,000 successful laser eye procedures, Dr. Haavel is one of the most experienced eye surgeons in Estonia. He specializes in LASIK, PRK, LASEK, and Flow laser procedures. Since 2005, he has been treating patients at KSA Vision Clinic, and for more than a decade has focused primarily on the touch-free and flap-free Flow procedure, considered the safest and most eye-friendly solution for correcting vision.Dr. Haavel is especially known for his expertise in helping patients with thin corneas, providing solutions where traditional LASIK may not be possible. He has enhanced his skills internationally, attending advanced trainings and conferences in the United States, Singapore, India, Italy, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, and many other countries.He is an active member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), reflecting his commitment to continuous professional growth and medical innovation.Outside of medicine, Dr. Haavel contributes to the development of Estonian sailing and is himself a world-class sailor, spending much of his free time training and competing at sea. He is also passionate about reading and expanding his knowledge across a wide range of fields.
