Ophthalmologist consultation

Clear vision is the foundation of well-being and the joy of life. If you want to make sure that your vision or your child’s vision is healthy, we invite you for an ophthalmologist consultation. Eye examinations can also be done for preventive purposes — even if there are no complaints — such as when vision has changed, or if you experience headaches and eye fatigue.

How is an ophthalmologist consultation conducted?

A comprehensive adult eye examination by an ophthalmologist includes the following:

  • Routine vision check
  • Measurement of refractive errors (refraction)
  • Measurement of the strength of existing glasses (lensometry)
  • Intraocular pressure measurement (tonometry – important for detecting glaucoma risk)
  • Corneal topography (diagnosis of keratoconus)
  • Measurement of corneal curvature (keratometry)
  • Measurement of corneal thickness (pachymetry)
  • Examination of the anterior segment and lens using a Scheimpflug camera
  • OCT (optical coherence tomography) of the retina and optic nerve to detect pathologies
  • Visual field testing, if necessary
  • Fundus photography (helps detect retinal changes)
  • Eye examination under a microscope (biomicroscopy)
  • Various vision function tests (e.g., color perception, eye coordination, etc.)
