See clearly, live freely

Reelika Tammeoru – Get your eyes in top shape for the driving test!

Every pair of eyes is unique and every person deserves an approach that takes their needs and expectations into account.

In the middle of summer, the talkative and radiant Reelika Tammeoru got rid of her glasses at KSA. The final push for the laser procedure came from a rather unusual, yet simple and logical reason – the desire to drive a car more comfortably. Of course, she also enjoys everything else that comes with good vision.

Reelika has lived in England for almost 13 years. Initially she went there for a short time with no specific plan, later moving to London to study marketing. After getting her bachelor’s degree, she started a job in her field and has been working there for 7 years. Today, she has moved back to her home country with her partner, and it was here that the direct need for vision correction arose.

Discomfort behind the wheel prompted the procedure

Reelika never liked to wear glasses, so she mostly lived a “glasses-free” life, squinting to see. This was especially inconvenient on holidays. The idea of undergoing a laser procedure came after returning to Estonia, when due to her new place of residence, she needed a driver’s license and a car. Since the current situation also requires wearing a face mask in many places, her driving lessons were quite complicated – her glasses were constantly foggy, making vision difficult.

The second and more important reason for the procedure was the desire to enjoy beautiful views. Reelika loves to be in nature, and according to her, Estonian nature is wonderful! Also, during the different seasons, wet glasses from snow and rain were annoying and caused additional stress. “Maybe it’s the wrong perspective,” she reflects, “but that’s just how it was!”

Dr. Haavel put her mind at ease

So Reelika went to KSA for her pre-procedure eye exam, but ended up postponing the laser procedure itself three times. Just one month before her driving test, she decided it was time to get a grip and just get it done.
According to Reelika, the day of the procedure was “totally okay,” just like for many other clients. A slight nervousness began when she was choosing protective sunglasses upon arriving at the clinic. However, Dr. Haavel was excellent at helping her take her mind off things. “For example, I found out that my eye pigment is beautiful!” she said. Looking back, she says the procedure wasn’t bad at all. Luckily, everything went well. The period of wearing protective lenses and the recovery have also been easy. For this, Reelika credits the professionalism and experience of Dr. Haavel.

Sharing the joy of a glasses-free life with others

Her partner is also enjoying her glasses-free life, as he can now look his beloved in the eyes. Reelika, in turn, enjoys the surrounding nature, and driving has become a fantastic experience. As a bonus, there’s no longer a need to buy new glasses every couple of years.

Just one month after her laser eye procedure, Reelika successfully passed her driving test. The brand-new license holder confirms that her vision is A+! 🙂
