What is Rexon-Eye therapy?
Dry eye syndrome is a common condition that causes discomfort and irritation and can significantly disrupt daily life. The syndrome is caused by reduced tear production and excessive evaporation, poor tear film composition, and various systemic diseases. It can occur in anyone, regardless of age or lifestyle.
Symptoms of dry eye syndrome include:
- A feeling of dryness, grittiness, or scratching
- Burning or pain
- Redness
- Watery eyes
- Itching
- Difficulty opening the eyelids in the morning
- Blurred vision throughout the day
- Eye fatigue while reading or working on a computer
- Light sensitivity
If the symptoms persist, it is recommended to consult a specialist to find an appropriate solution. There are various treatment options, ranging from eye drops and oral medications to intensive therapy.
Rexon-Eye therapy helps relieve dry eye syndrome. It is a non-invasive procedure where special soft glasses are placed over the eyes, and the client simply sits comfortably and relaxes. The electrical field from the glasses stimulates the metabolism of eyelid cells and improves the function of the tear glands. Studies have shown that 80% of patients experience significant improvement after 4–6 sessions. Rexon-Eye is especially suitable for those with chronic dry eye, such as after LASIK surgery or in cases of Sjögren’s syndrome.
This service is not suitable for:
- Pregnant women
- Clients with hearing implants or other active medical devices
- Patients undergoing cancer treatment
- Patients undergoing cancer treatment
- Children
The service begins with a consultation to determine whether the session is necessary for the client. A total of 4–6 visits are required, with the final session including feedback and further counseling if needed.
NB! We offer Rexon-Eye therapy both for those who have undergone laser procedures and for those who have not had vision correction. This is not a healthcare service – it is provided by an optometrist. The service is available at KSA Eye Center’s Tallinn clinic.
Introductory price: 349 € (includes consultation and 4 sessions)
