Say goodbye to minus glasses and contacts with 3Flow

Say goodbye to glasses and contacts with 3Flow

What is 3Flow eye examination?

A new era of vision correction!

Every successful laser procedure begins with a thorough vision examination for all individuals who wear minus prescription glasses. Since every person's eyes are unique, the approach must also be individualized. During the eye examination, an optometrist and an ophthalmologist gather important information about your eyes and vision. The examination results document thousands of parameters related to your eyes and determine whether a laser procedure would be suitable for you.

The examination is suitable for individuals aged 18 to 45 who wear minus prescription glasses or contact lenses, with a prescription of up to -9 diopters.

Before your eye examination appointment, we recommend having a meal to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible during the procedure.

Note! Contact lens users are requested not to wear their lenses for 24 hours before the examination and to come to the appointment wearing glasses.

3Flow eye examination – one of the most comprehensive exams you will ever undergo. During the examination, the following measurements are performed:

  1. Cornea and anterior segment examination
    1. Corneal topography and tomography (various corneal parameters)
    2. Corneal thickness measurement (pachymetry)
    3. Anterior chamber depth and iris angle measurement
    4. Kappa angle determination
    5. Corneal diameter
    6. Lens opacity assessment (with Scheimpflug camera)
    7. Pupil size measurement in dim light
    8. Keratometry (corneal curvature)
    9. Non-invasive tear break-up time (NIBUT) (dry eye test)
  2. Retina examination – Fundus and nerve assessments
    1. Macular OCT scan
    2. Optic nerve disc analysis
    3. Retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFL)
    4. Central macular thickness (CMT)
    5. Assessment of foveal contour and structure
    6. Ganglion cell complex (GCC)
    7. Cross-sectional image of the retina
    8. Vitreoretinal interface analysis / posterior vitreous membrane status
    9. Choroid imaging
  3. Visual acuity and binocular function tests
    1. Visual acuity assessment for distance and near
    2. Subjective refraction
    3. Duochrome test (red-green)
    4. Stereopsis tests (e.g., Titmus test)
    5. Eye dominance test
    6. Color vision test (Ishihara)
    7. Binocular vision test (Worth 4-dot test)
    8. Binocular vision balance test (polarized field test)
    9. Phoria tests (Schober test)
  4. Manual and biomicroscopic examinations
    1. Eye movement control
    2. Cover and alternate cover test
    3. Light reflex test
    4. Anterior segment biomicroscopy
    5. Evaluation of eyelids, eyelashes, tear film, and conjunctiva
    6. Assessment of contact lens usage effects
  5. Autorefraction – measurement of optical power of the eye
    1. Objective refraction
    2. Keratometry
    3. Central pachymetry
    4. Intraocular pressure measurement
  6. Spectacle lens parameter measurement (Lensometry)
  7. Lifestyle and health assessment
    1. Eye health questionnaire (previous surgeries, trauma, contact lens use, allergies, medications, family history of eye diseases)
    2. General health questionnaire (screen time, mental state, general illnesses such as diabetes, stress, physical activity, expectations, goals)
  8. Visual field test – perimetry (if needed)
    1. Visual field extent assessment
  9. Fundus photography with Fundus camera (if needed)
    1. Eye health evaluation
  10. Corneal Photography (if needed)
    1. Evaluation of the eye’s surface layers

During the consultation as part of the eye examination, we will discuss whether the touch-free laser procedure aligns with your goals and expectations. We will also ensure that you fully understand the pre-procedure instructions (for example, you should not use makeup or perfumes or consume alcohol before the laser procedure).

If the examination results confirm that the laser procedure is suitable for your eyes, we will also find a suitable date for the procedure. The key to the success of these procedures lies in the careful selection of candidates and thorough preparation.
